1. You will be assigned a ridiculously good looking and fun loving staff person to whom you will be responsible to during this trip. This means when leaving the hotel, etc... you must tell your staff person where you will be and how long.
REMEMBER...THIS STAFF PERSON IS RESPONSTIBLE FOR YOU AND WE ARE RESPONSTIBLE TO YOUR PARENTS, SO PLEASE COOPERATE WITH US! (yes, we used the word responstible.)
2. Just like at a FIVE STAR resort, you will be required to wear your CALBREAK bracelet at ALL TIMES while on the trip. This will not only provide exclusive access to special CALBREAK events, but it will help our staff to easily identify the students on the trip and assist in any emergency situation. And they look cool!
3. No smoking will be allowed on the bus, in hotel rooms or other places where publicly banned. You are allowed to smoke where it is permissible, but ONLY if your parents have signed the smoking release form, and remember, smoking gives you cancer and makes you smell really bad!
4. No alcohol/drugs/vaping at any time during this trip. This includes using and purchasing for yourself or for friends and relatives. * because of changing laws in the USA, and because we can’t be sure of the contents, there will be NO VAPING allowed. (breaking this rule results in immediate expulsion from Calbreak, and you will be sent home at your parent/guardian’s expense.)
5. For medical reasons we advise against body piercing and tattooing. Amputation or death as a result of infection is no fun.
6. Abide by the curfew set for every evening (you may stay up in your rooms with staff permission). We are not to be in the halls of the hotel after 11:00 pm. Get your bucket of ice before curfew, and you’ll be fine.
7. Out of respect for everyone’s personal property, you may only visit hotel rooms of students in your small group.
8. Any extra charges made to hotel rooms will be at the student's expense and must be paid upon request, e.g. phone calls, movies etc...and come on, you’re in California...do you really need to rent Titanic? Don’t be so stupid Rose.
9. All scheduled events are compulsory, including the evening group meetings and small group discussions. It is important to follow the itinerary so everyone can have the best experience. And, we give away stuff...
10. No visiting of friends or relatives in California, unless previously arranged by parent and with permission of Tour Director. *any approved visits must happen during free/non-scheduled time. And please, for everyone’s safety, don’t give your phone number and room number to your good looking ‘cousin’ that you randomly bumped into at Laguna Beach...
11. Be on time for the bus departures, for scheduled events/club meetings, etc... $1/min U.S. late fees are in effect. Ouch! Save your cash and treat your good looking staff member to lunch at Johnny Rockets.
12. Respect the authorities who are here to make this a pleasant, fun-filled trip:
Bus drivers - help to keep the bus clean
Calbreak staff - We want to have fun with you and get you home safe!!
Border-Crossing Personnel - take it seriously
Hotel Staff - they will treat you as you treat them.
Other students - Everyone on this trip is here for a good time...CO-OPERATION IS THE KEY.
If any of the above guidelines are broken or the student does not cooperate when needed; the student will be sent home at the expense of the parent/guardian upon discussion with the tour director, student and parent/guardian.
There is a RULES FORM that needs to be signed by both students and parents/guardians.
